  • A large food retailer 

  • They have 500+ staff in their head office, a distribution centre and circa 50 remote stores 

  • Telephony is an important part of their business – both comms internally and with suppliers and customers 

  • With a mix of cloud and legacy telephony and changes in the way calls were managed they needed to review their telephony service mix and reassess their capacity requirements based on changing calling profiles 

  • The closure of analogue services was also a driver to review their requirements and invoicing 

  • Over time they had many changes to retail outlets, staff and needs; as well as the telco services themselves had been updated   

  • They wanted a review to help them: 

  • Identify significant cost savings 

  • Clarify their existing services and costs  

  • Ensure their services /contract and charges aligned  

  • Recommend alternative solutions 

  • They wanted an independent third party who knew the industry and market and were confident in understanding the invoicing and the services being consumed 

What We Did 

  • Edge Consulting was engaged to complete a telco audit which included reviewing invoices and identifying services no longer used  

Outcome 

  • This client was able to make a saving of $3,000/month; $36,000 per year
