Large Multi-Branch Organisation
The Client
A large agricultural manufacturer with approximately 50 locations around New Zealand
Telephony is used for communicating internally, with suppliers and with customers
They wanted to move to Teams Calling as a single telephony platform, allowing them to remove analogue access, rationalise the overlap between staff using a mobile and Teams calling end point, and reduce their telco costs
Teams calling would also allow them to introduce a more consistent telephony experience for their customers at the store level
In addition, they were planning to replace terminals at the store level and needed to ensure that the full capability of Teams could be used in these locations
What We Did
We were engaged to audit their Telco spend and optimise the migration to Teams
We undertook an in-depth telecommunications audit
We identified and rationalised their legacy services, and optimised the use of Teams and mobile services across their staff
We identified where Teams users were only receiving or making less than two calls per month
We reviewed their telco services and billing
Outcome
The audit revealed a large number of services could be relinquished, leading to a reduction in the number of Teams Calling end points and the removal of all analogue services
We identified charges that did not align with their telco contract
We ensured that all services and costs were clearly described and invoiced correctly
The client gained clarity of their monthly invoices
Cost savings of up to $4,000 per month; $48,000 per annum
